Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
I wish you all a very prosperous and joyful 2009!

Usually we always hear about New Year's resolutions... that we're going to lose that extra 30 pounds, we're going to quit smoking, we're going to try or work harder at something... It usually never happens.
We end up quitting or lose interest don't we?

Well, I have a list of New Year's Resolutions that I feel are very attainable for your consideration.

The list is rather ecclectic so it follows no particularly rhyme or reason and are in no particular order. I just think they are all worth doing.
Here goes...

1. Back up your computer!
If you have never lost any data or had a crash, you're quite lucky. Don't wait... back up now! XP has a backup program that works fine, just get the external HD so you're data will be in a separate place. Of course you could use one of those online places, but why not do it yourself?
It feels good!

2. Restart a lost family tradition.
Whether it's the prayer your grand father used to say at Christmas dinner, the family trip to a special place, or just going to church every Sunday... START! If we don't continue to respect our traditions they will be lost forever.

3. Join the NRA!
The National Rifle Association is the greatest advocate for gun owners and hunters and shooters in the world! The NRA has a huge political effort and needs our support. Join today. If you can afford it, become a life member and donate often. They really need our help!

4. Buy a handgun and get a permit to carry it!
I urge everyone to respect and honor the 2nd Amendment - The Right to Keep and Bear Arms - by becoming a firearms owner and taking the necessary training to become proficient and safe with your new weapon. Take the training and get the permit to carry your new pistol. The police are there to protect us from criminals, but they cannot be everywhere.
Be ready if nasty things begin to happen.

5. Take a kid shooting!
The shooting sports along with proper and safe gun handling need to be taught to our youngsters. We don't want them growing up with liberal phrases in their heads about how dangerous guns are. We want our kids to know the truth! It's up to you to teach your kids about guns and gun safety! When a kid learns about guns and shooting, they'll carry that knowledge with them for the rest of their lives. Share your sport!

6. Hug a soldier!
The next time you see a member of our armed forces walking in the mall or on the street, just go up to him/her with a big smile on your face and say THANK YOU! Then give them a big hug! Our fighting men and women are in harms way everyday. Let them know we appreciate the sacrafice they are making for our safety and security! And please remember all our Veterans... from 'The Greatest Generation', to present day, let them know you are proud of them!

7. Read The Constitution - Get yourself a copy!
Never before have we lived in such violent, uncertain times. There are those, foreigners and even some in our own government that wish to alter our Constitution and treat it like so much waste paper.
The Constitution of The United States of America is the single most important document on the planet. Read it. Understand it. Honor it!
Our freedom depends on you staying involved!

8. Re-Evaluate your investments!
We've seen some major institutions collapse in the last few years because of poor management and simple greed! If you have any money stashed away in a sock or under the mattress, get smart about it.
If you have money in the market or in real estate, get smart about it.
We can't rely on so-called 'experts' to guide our investing.
Rely on yourself. Stay informed. Get educated. Get wealthy!

9. Re-Evaluate your insurance needs!
Do you have enough if the worst happens to you? How about your house? Your car? That boat? And all those guns in the safe? Could you replace everything if you had a fire? An earthquake? A hurricane or tornado? Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Make sure your family will be safe and well cared for if you are gone. Get started today!

10. Clean out each and every one of your closets!
You haven't used some of that stuff in 10 years! Let it go! Clean everything, wash it, iron it and take it to the Goodwill store. There are lots of people out there that shop at the Goodwill every week. When money is tight every dollar counts. Take all your clutter and all those old clothes that don't fit or are out of style to the Goodwill Store! They take appliances, tools, clothes... all kinds of stuff! Get going!

11. Call every friend you have!
I don't care if you just talked to them yesterday, call them and wish them a Happy New Year! Look in your personal phone book and call all those friends you haven't talked to in months... or years! They'll be happy to hear your voice and it'll do you a world of good too!

12. Say Happy New Year to each of your neighbors!
Just walk over there... it's OK, they won't bite you... and tell them you were in a great mood and just wanted to say Happy New Year and wish them a prosperous 2009. That's all. You don't have to stay and have tea, you don't need to go inside, you don't need to figure out how to discuss that awkward moment you had last summer... just say Happy New Year, shake their hand and leave! Get started!

And since the #13 is my lucky number, I'll finish with it...

13. Tell your wife or husband, and all of your kids and grandkids, that you love them with all your heart!
You never know, you could be hit by a bus as you step off the curb tomorrow morning! This could be the last time you ever see any of your family. Tell them all, every day, that you love them!

That's it! That's all I got!
Happy New Year!

Have a great 2009!

The GOP Needs a Colin-cleansing!

Many good Republicans have been disappointed ever since John McCain was 'chosen' to be our party's candidate in the 2008 election. We knew he wasn't 'one of us'. We didn't like the way he cozied up to the liberals and the way he casually dismissed any supporter that didn't fit in with his crowd.

I was one that 'held my nose' and voted for McCain. That was then. This is now, and McCain has to go as I've said before. He's not a conservative and barely a Republican. He's one of those 'neocons' you've read about.

Well, now we have more neocons coming out of the wood work and criticizing us conservatives and what we stand for.

For example, this Colin Powell guy... sheeze! Who woudda thunk that the former Seceratary of State for George Bush would be a turn coat?!

When he said that America should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh because Rush was spewing hate I nearly spit up my coffee!
Colin Powell actually said that?

Then I finally read some more about it over at American Thinker.
Here's the article...

The GOP needs a Colin-cleansing
Doug Powers

As Jack Nicholson's "Joker" said in the movie Batman, "This town needs an enema!" So does the Republican Party.

Previous tests have proven that the GOP has some, shall we say "matter," in there that's poisoning the system. The party won't win back the White House and Congress without undergoing what could be an uncomfortable purification process.

There's a terrific temptation to become bogged down in pointing fingers at where an Obama presidency will lead this nation, and it's hard to blame people for doing so.

I mean, The Messiah hasn't even taken office yet and it already feels like we've seen the makings of enough scandals and accusations ("Walk-on-Water Gate," the birth certificate thing, etc.) to get us midway through Obama's second term, but Republicans have to accept some responsibility for this. Obama didn't win-Republicans lost, and bad.

November's election was a clear indication that the Republican Party is broken. How should it be fixed? Colin Powell examined the party's problems and concluded that the party is too polarized, shouts at everybody and listens to Rush Limbaugh too much.

Powell's sentiment was of course gleefully reported by the media, but unfortunately it's also shared by other so-called "Republicans." Last month, Democrat Morton Kondracke agreed, in a column entitled "GOP: Fire Rush Limbaugh." Other Republicans have been suckered into either taking the "Fairness Doctrine" bait, or encouraged to place it.

This view should be disregarded because the accusation itself is completely baseless. If Limbaugh, Hannity and Ingraham set the GOP agenda, I assure you that John McCain would not have been the party's nominee.

Conservative talk radio greeted the nomination of McCain with all the enthusiasm of Michael Moore at a salad bar. The problem with the Republican Party leadership was and is that they don't listen to the base in the first place!

The view of Powell, Kondracke or even Buckley, Jr. and many others isn't a misconception, but rather the byproduct of a deception. This is a bogus seed that the left, and willing or unwitting dupes on the right, plant among Republicans so liberals can implement a version of their coveted Fairness Doctrine without the rest of us complaining too loudly.

It's no accident that the names of Limbaugh and other talk radio biggies keep surfacing as part of "what's wrong with the Republican Party."

Here's part of the strategy: By brainwashing everybody into believing that Rush Limbaugh cost the GOP the White House and congressional control, Democrats hope to make Republicans believe that a Fairness Doctrine would actually save the Republican Party. Wow, those Democrats sure are nice!

Sure, there's nothing anybody can do about Democrats who insist on calling themselves "Republicans," but we can recognize those people and relegate their "advice" to the ash heap of useless information, which is exactly where Colin Powell's "advice" belongs.

That Republicans might implement the suggested agendas of Limbaugh, Hannity and Ingraham are exactly what Democrats fear-or else they wouldn't be so preoccupied with trying to put an iron boot over the throat of free speech.

All I ask is that Powell, Kondracke and any number of other "Republicans" don't offer to tie their laces for them.
I don't think that's too much to ask.

If "right wing talk radio" was increasingly responsible for devastating Republican losses, the Democrats would be trying to figure out how to get Rush more air time, not less.

The crux of Colin Powell's advice to the GOP is this: The Republican tent needs to be bigger and the party should be more inclusive.

A bigger tent? Criminy - the Republican Party's tent was big enough to cover a black man who endorsed and voted for a liberal Democrat, and the tent should be bigger? Sounds to me like the GOP has been too inclusive.

When your tent is so big that it shelters shills for the opposition, it needs to shrink a little.

Man I wish I could write like that!
Well said Mr Powers!

And we conservatives need to 'stick to our guns' and get these neocons out of the party! They are diluting our message and confusing our youth.

And if the Republican Party refuses to comply with our wishes, we need to rethink our alliegence with a group of individuals that talk out of both sides of their mouths and strike out in a new direction! Maybe even form a brand new party!

Conservatives don't need to be all things to all people - we just need get back to basics and stay true to our roots.

Family values, a reverance for The Founders and The Constitution, a belief in small government is better governmnet, and the rule of law.
No NeoCons!

Stealth Jihad?

Back when I was a kid everyone said that communism was the enemy. That the communists would use methods like infiltration of mainstream organizations and subversion of our youth to gain a foothold in America and conquer us from within. It scared the hell out of us!

With this recent election, it looks like the communists have come alarmingly close to achieving that goal. We have a leftist President now, and he is busy appointing all his lefty buddies to cabinet posts. We need to watch closely in the coming months the workings of our national education plan. Maybe the commies are closer than we think?

Then with all the threats from these crazed muslims that they will bury us, and shouting "Islam will rule the world", it takes me right back to my youth. I think we still have enemies amongst us!

Just look at Dearborn Michigan. A city of 100,000 has 30,000 Muslims and has virtually changed the makeup of city government and the cities identity. The call to prayer can be heard over loudspeakers 5 times a day. You should visit.

Now I read this article by Doug Giles.
Whoa Doug!
You have hit on something here my man!

Maybe you should read it for yourself...

Stealth Jihad: How Islam is Infiltrating Your Neighborhood
by Doug Giles

What if Christians demanded the following:

1. If anyone around Christians at work or school eats pork then they would get fired or severely chastised because we believe that scarfing down pig really offends God (and of course his people). Yep, BLTs—according to our take on Christ’s commands—really ticks him off and therefore bacon should be banned. Not only that, but any food that has even trace amounts of Porky the Pig in it must be verboten and banished from our presence everywhere we go because we’re Christians, and Christians don’t dine on swine. This means Jell-O shots at Tu-Tu-Tango’s and Jell-O served to kids at school ceases to be because Jell-O, hello, contains a wee little bit of a wee little pig, and this pisseth the Lord our God off!

2. All public schools must have several regularly scheduled 15 minute breaks throughout the school day for Christians to roll out their TBN prayer rugs and pray for revival. If not, we will raise Cain and Abel.

3. Public schools must become sex-segregated so that we, the washed, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost and fire crowd won’t be sorely tempted to swap spit with the hot Daisy Mae looking chick in pottery class. Matter of fact, why don’t public schools just carve out for us Christians a special school within the school, lest we become sullied via association with the unwashed masses and other religious persuasions, which we utterly detest. Howzabout that, mamasita?

4. Any and all the stupid, violent or sexually weird stuff that misguided Christians have done and are doing is to be scrubbed from the historical record, and the only thing that gets reported and taught is that we are the most peaceful, perfect people to ever schlep this planet. Anyone who thinks or speaks to the contrary will get the stink eye and be called a hater. Indeed, all criticism of Christians should be banned, and those who bring up our foibles, draw unfavorable cartoons of us, and don’t parrot our squeaky-clean spin get branded as bigots or Christophobes and should be threatened with prison.

5. Footbaths are to be installed in whichever universities my brethren and I attend (at the public’s expense) because Jesus was into foot washing, so I want a footbath, dammit! And if this means tuition gets hiked up to provide this for all Christians on campus, well . . . tough. I don’t care. My feet must be ritually washed, or Jesus gets angry—and when he gets angry, people die.

6. Any video games that Sony or whoever puts out that might accidentally offend Christians must be 86’ed. However, if other religions get offended via video it’s okay, just as long as my flavor ain’t disssed, can you dig it?

7. We must receive exemptions from the IRS from paying interest on back taxes because that’s against Christianity.

8. When the Christian church accidentally yields up a violent vocal dillweed from our ranks who hates America and is on the State Department’s terrorist watch list, instead of throwing that loopy bastard in prison we demand that the U.S. Army make him a sergeant. Capice?

9. Encourage the Christian high school student who wants to assassinate our President by giving him the “Most Likely to Become a Martyr” award during graduation.

10. Make students in the public school system who don’t believe in Jesus memorize portions of the Gospel of John, adopt Christian names and shout in the classroom, “I love Jesus, yes I do. I love Jesus. How ‘bout you?!”

Would any of points 1- 10 tick you secularists, atheists and agnostics off?

If Christians ever attempted any of the above they would be righteously ridiculed, castigated and condemned by the MSM, school administrators, cartoonists, talk radio, the blogosphere, Rosie, the coven on the View, religious leaders, the ACLU, Alec Baldwin and president elect Barack Obama.

All of the aforementioned people would land on our crotch firmly with both feet. Heck, Christians can’t even say “merry Christmas,” cheer on traditional marriage, or champion the life of an unborn baby without being called Hitler, haters of humanity and intolerant bigots of other people’s values.

But Islam can.

Yep, Islam is making outrageous demands upon American life and culture, and we’re bending over and taking it from them, though we would be insanely intolerant of any other religious group—especially Christians—who had such particular and peculiar demands.

In Stealth Jihad, Islam expert and New York Times bestselling author Robert Spencer blows the whistle on a long-term plot by Islamic Jihadists to undermine the United States.

According to Spencer, this effort aims not to bring America to its knees through attacks with guns or bombs, but to subvert the country from within—by gradually Islamizing America. The ultimate goal, the stealth jihadists themselves declare, is nothing less than the adoption of Islamic law in the United States, that’s all!

BTW . . . this is already happening, and Robert shows the reader in blistering detail how American liberties are having to bow and kiss the ring of Islamic rules and regulations. Indeed, the stealth jihadists are already warm and snuggly within the American political, educational and media landscapes.

My advice, boys and girls, is . . . buy Bob’s book, drink a red bull, wake the heck up and fight for your liberties not to be walked on by anyone anywhere.

One last ditty for the skeptics who don’t think “it” could happen here: I’m sure that’s what the Brits thought 20 years ago.
Red Bull, anyone?

This culture of hate is all around us!
Keep your powder dry my friends... Keep your powder dry!

What The Heck Happened?

For several weeks now, ever since the election, I’ve been in a sort of ‘zombie’ state. Just walking around in a blue funk daze… not seeing where I’m going… not hearing what I’m saying… not realizing what I’m doing. I have no appetite, no desire to get out of bed, no desire to even answer the phone! It’s like a numbness has come over my mind, my body and my spirit.
GOD, I feel awful!

So this is what it feels like to be whipped at the polls by a charlatan?
I still can’t get my mind around that fact.

How in hell did a relative unknown newcomer take on a genuine war hero and kick his butt?

For one thing, those of us on the right were out-worked. Period!

The Obama campaign was everywhere. They were in every state that mattered and they were canvassing door to door, calling on the phones and talking to America’s youth on the internet. Plus, don’t sell ACORN short. They got out the vote even if some of it was bogus!

Prior to the election, I remember thinking, “When is McCain coming to our state? Where are the McCain signs? I don’t see any large effort to ‘get out the vote’ for McCain… What’s going on? Is he taking us for granted?”

I helped set up 4x8 signs for our Republican Governor and wondered why we had no McCain 4x8s? Then suddenly we got a shipment of McCain 4x8s from Michigan when McCain pulled out of that state!
I thought, "This is not good..."

The Obama machine was indeed powerful and well heeled. Obama at first, said he would use public funding as did John McCain. Then later Obama realized that if he wanted to accept any foreign donations or any money from ‘questionable’ sources that he would need to forego public funds and opt out.

So when he went back on his word and accepted only private, hard to trace private funds, he was able to amass a huge war chest for the campaign. Reports say more than 600 Million dollars!

Usually that outlandish amount of money would make the hair on the necks of the media bristle. They would be working overtime, digging up donor names and sniffing the money trail. Not this time. The media was solidly in Obama’s camp from the beginning. He could do no wrong, even if what he was doing was underhanded and crooked! Just don’t tell us about it Obama… and he didn’t.

For another, we were out flanked by our own stupidity.

Did we really believe that a candidate with John McCain’s credentials and record and his public scolding of supporters like Rev. Haggee, would be acceptable to our conservative base?

The primary process gave us McCain. We didn’t choose him.
The open primary system did - A system where democrats could cross over and vote for McCain, and thereby ‘stuff the ballot box’ against the more conservative candidates.

The right supported candidates like Ron Paul and Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. If Fred Thompson had not entered the race so late, he would have been my choice.

But when the conservatives began to see the handwriting on the wall, that neither Paul, nor Huckabee, nor Romney was going to get the nomination, most conservatives just stayed home.

Even after picking Sarah Palin as his running mate, McCain was still hard to swallow. And, while Palin does have Hollywood good looks, she isn’t ‘Presidential timber’, and some would say, barely VP timber! (Today I saw her pardon of the Thanksgiving Turkey interview in front of the slaughter house... bad form Gov!)

But, committed right wing conservatives just couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a man that wanted amnesty for illegals, and talked more like a Democrat than he did a Republican.

Heck, McCain nearly bolted the Republican Party in 2000!
What makes you think he wouldn’t do it again?

Conservatives didn’t trust McCain, even if he was a war hero and had a conservative running mate!

Personally, he offended me by NOT standing beside his President in tough times. I would have had much more respect for the man if he had said, 'GW is my President and I don’t care what you think of him!'
I don’t believe distancing himself from President Bush helped him did it? He might have garnered the votes of more conservatives if he had simply showed some backbone!

But we surely got whipped!
And the funny thing is, that the left doesn’t even know what they’ve done! They think they have voted for ‘change’, a ‘change we can believe in’. What the hell is that?

This Obama character is a completely unknown quantity. A few years in the Senate and community organizer credentials just doesn’t seem like adequate experience to me.

His whole campaign was based on running against Mr. Bush’s policies. That’s all he had!
How stupid do you have to be to believe that nonsense?

And now we see many of the same faces coming to government that we saw during the Clinton years? Is that the change you liberals were after?

So what’s next for conservatives?
Where do we go from here?

There are those like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gov of California, that say the Republican party should kick out the conservatives and make themselves more moderate.

Yeah, like he’s doing a great job out there in Cal?
If you’re ideas are so great Arnie, why are you in Washington with your hand out for some of the bailout money? Not going so well out there huh?

If Arnold wants to kick us out of the Republican Party, let him try. I don’t think that will fly. More likely we conservatives will regain the party leadership and kick out Arnie and McCain!

There are those that say we didn’t do enough for the moderates, that we should have been more attentive to what the American voter wanted. They say we were wrong and need to learn from our mistakes... That we need to be more like them.

All I can say is , “Who is this, them”? You mean moderates like McCain?
Hell... He LOST!
And then I say, “Hogwash”!

The only problem I saw during this election cycle was a lack of energy, a lack of excitement from the right.

Nobody, not one single candidate, was able to stir them, able to get them to rally around an idea, able to get them motivated.
Not one!

And why?

Because there was no ‘new idea’ that’s why.
There was no new, fresh approach. No great orator from the hinterlands coming forth to stir the souls of conservatives.

Nothing! That’s all we had… Nothing!
How hard is it to defeat that?

Some say that the downturn in the economy really hurt McCain.
I really don’t think the economy had anything to do with it.

McCain was simply NOT a likeable person.
We didn’t identify with him. He wasn’t ‘one of us’.
Even with Gov. Palin at his side he looked out of place, out of sync, out of rhythm. It just wasn’t his time and we all knew it – even he knew it.

What do we do now?
For one thing we go home and look ourselves in the mirror.

We ask ourselves if we could have done more?
...If we gave it our best shot?
...If we actually put forth our best candidate?
And, then ask ourselves, “Just what do you plan to do about that?”

We return to basic principles. A strong belief in God.
A strong belief in a frugal, non invasive, liberty sustaining, small government.

A strong belief in our Constitution.
A strong reverence for The Founders and a strong belief that their efforts were valiant and not in vain.

A belief that America is made up of unique individuals all striving for excellence.
And a belief that America is the greatest most beautiful country on the planet!

America doesn’t need fixing! Congress is what needs fixing!

We need to go back and listen to the words of William F. Buckley Jr. and recognize that we lost our way. That we forgot our core values. That we neglected our duty to the people that supported our cause.

When we lost Mr. Buckley earlier this year, President Bush stated:

America has lost one of its finest writers and thinkers. Bill Buckley was one of the great founders of the modern conservative movement. He brought conservative thought into the political mainstream, and helped lay the intellectual foundation for America's victory in the Cold War and for the conservative movement that continues to this day. He will be remembered for his principled thought and beautiful writing — as well as his personal warmth, wit, and generous spirit. His legacy lives on in the ideas he championed and in the magazine he founded — National Review.
Laura and I send our prayers to Chris Buckley, the Buckley family, and all who loved this good man.

Republicans need to remember what they stand for – The Party of Lincoln.
The party of emancipation and freedom. The Party of Taft and the Party of Reagan. The party that nurtures fiscal conservatism and libertarianism. The party of laissez-faire capitalism and free enterprise.

Republicans need new, fresh ideas! BIG ideas from fresh faces like Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin. New ideas from our traditional conservative voices like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. New ideas about how to provide for our elderly, and how to produce an economical, snappy looking automobile that consumers want to buy. New ideas about how to be a world leader in commerce, manufacturing, and security.

We need fresh ideas for the 21st Century, NOW!

Yes, The Tree of Liberty needs some tending.

Maybe a little water and nourishment, maybe a little pruning as well.
The Founders, Bill Buckley and all conservatives would want us to keep it alive and well, and so we shall.

The eHarmony Shakedown

When I lived in San Francisco I used to encounter the gay element everyday. The gay people were not overtly radical back then, they just liked to dress up in gaudy costumes, stay out all night in the clubs and make fools of themselves as they were crawling towards home. Sure, we would see them a few times a year when they held some sort of parade down Castro St. and it would spill over into the community, but by and large they sort of kept to themselves.

We all know those days are gone forever. The gay movement has taken on epic proportions and is in nearly every city in America now. The Congress is inundated by 'gay rights' groups and we even have a few opnenly gay Congressmen. OK, fine.

But, now the gay people are really getting on my nerves. They have always had an agenda, that is the total and open acceptance of their lifestyle, that is clearly in contrast to what The Bible teaches. They use tactics like intimidation to get what they want. They have no reverance for anything traditional. Their only goal is total acceptance at any cost.

A few weeks back Californians passed Prop 8. It was a bill to overturn the State's Supreme Court's ruling to allow marriages between gay people. Obviously, Californians see traditional marriage to be between a man and a woman. The gays revolted! There was violence in the streets in both San Francisco and in LA!

Now we have the latest effort of the gay faction... destroy American Business and Traditional Values!

Here's the article from Michelle Malkin...
The eHarmony Shakedown
By Michelle Malkin
November 21, 2008

Congratulations, tolerance mau-mauers: Your shakedown of a Christian-targeted dating website worked. Homosexuals will no longer be denied the inalienable "right" to hook up with same-sex partners on eHarmony. What a landmark triumph for social progress, eh?

New Jersey plaintiff Eric McKinley can now crown himself the new Rosa Parks -- heroically breaking down inhumane barriers to Internet matchmaking by forcing a law-abiding private company to provide services it was never created to provide. "Men seeking men" has now been enshrined with "I have a dream" as a civil rights rallying cry of the 21st century.
Bully for you, Mr. McKinley. You bully.

Neil Warren, eHarmony's founder, is a gentle, grandfatherly businessman who launched his popular dating site to support heterosexual marriage. A "Focus on the Family" author with a divinity degree, Warren encourages healthy, lasting unions between men and women of all faiths, mixed faiths or no faith at all.

Don't like what eHarmony sells? Go somewhere else. There are thousands upon thousands of dating sites on the Internet that cater to gays, lesbians, Jews, Muslims, Trekkies, runners, you name it.

No matter. In the name of tolerance, McKinley refused to tolerate eHarmony's right to operate a lawful business that didn't give him what he wanted. He filed a discrimination complaint against eHarmony with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights in 2005.

To be clear: eHarmony never, ever refused to do business with anyone. The company broke no laws. Their great "sin" was not providing a politically correct service that a publicity-seeking gay plaintiff demanded they provide.

For three years, the company battled McKinley's legal shakedown artists -- and staved off other opportunists as well. The dating site had been previously sued by a lesbian looking to force the company to match her up with another woman, and by a married man who ridiculously sought to force the company to find him prospects for an adulterous relationship.

This case is akin to a meat-eater suing a vegetarian restaurant for not offering him a rib-eye, or a female patient suing a vasectomy doctor for not providing her hysterectomy services. But rather than defend the persecuted business, the New Jersey attorney general intervened on behalf of the gay plaintiff and wrangled an agreement out of eHarmony to change its entire business model.

The company agreed not only to offer same-sex dating services on a new site, but also to offer six-month subscriptions for free to 10,000 gay users, pay McKinley $5,000 and fork over $50,000 to New Jersey's Civil Rights division "to cover investigation-related administrative costs." Oh, and that's not all. Yield, yield to the grievance-mongers:

Additional terms of the settlement include: HERE

Can you believe it?
These degenerates will stop at nothing to destroy American traditions! They not only want their lifestyle reveared, they want ours destroyed!

It's really too bad Mr. Warren chose to cave in to these monsters. This will not stop them. They will try to overwhelm each obstacle they percieve as a threat.

I wonder what they'll do when the come up against Islam?

Genius, Thy Name Is Obama

I've been one of the very few people that have defended President Bush over the last 8 years.
Let me tell you... It can get pretty lonly over here!
But, dammit, I'm right! And so was he!

Today Ann Coulter published an article about The Messiah and his 'genius'. In it she recounts many events from Mr. Bush's early years in his Presidency. I thought it would be a good time to give a little credit where credit is due...
Here's the article -

Genius, Thy Name Is Obama
by Ann Coulter

With Time magazine comparing Obama to Jesus, I guess we should be relieved that, this week, liberals are only comparing him to Abraham Lincoln.

The one thing every liberal on TV seems to know about Lincoln is that he put rivals in his cabinet, as subtly indicated in the title to historian and plagiarist Doris Kearns Goodwin's book: "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln."

Like Lincoln, Goodwin is always open to contributions from her rivals, although Lincoln was better at crediting their words.

And hasn't Obama talked to former rival Hillary about becoming his secretary of state? Hasn't he had a sit-down with Sen. John McCain? Did I imagine this, or is he even now brokering peace talks between Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck?

Ergo: Obama is a genius.

Indeed, historians have just named Obama the best president-elect ever.

I don't recall the media swooning when President George W. Bush reached out to rivals, such as Sen. Teddy Kennedy, who was asked to co-write Bush's education bill.

In fact, the way I remember it, Bush is liberals' most hated president ever (only because they can't remember George Washington or they'd hate him, too).

And yet no modern president has ever done more to bridge partisan divides and show respect to his opponents than George W. Bush. I do not say this with admiration; it is simply a fact.

Throughout the year and again in his convention speech during the 2000 presidential campaign, Gov. Bush bragged that he had "no stake in the bitter arguments of the last few years. I want to change the tone of Washington to one of civility and respect."(As a side note: Bush would never have been elected president if not for the "bitter arguments of the last few years," in which Republicans exposed and impeached Bill Clinton, which then killed Al Gore's presidential ambitions. So you're welcome.)

But the point is: Bush was massively chummy with his enemies -- Democrats, communists and the Congressional Black Caucus. So chummy that even they began to wonder if he was a little daft.

In his first few weeks in office, Bush met with more than 150 members of Congress, half of them Democrats -- including five events with America's leading liberal menace, Sen. Teddy Kennedy.

Bush's very first social event at the White House was movie night with the Kennedy family to watch "Thirteen Days," a falsely heroic portrayal of JFK's disastrous handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis. This suggests to me that Obama's first social move as president will have to be to invite Lindsey Graham over to a screening of "Larry the Cable Guy Saves Christmas."

Naturally, Bush also had primary rival John McCain and his wife, Cindy, over to dinner at the White House.Bush was the first president in memory to attend the congressional retreats of the opposing party.

After two weeks in office, a Wall Street Journal column noted that Bush's charm offensive was "disorienting the local Hatfields and McCoys." (Again: You're welcome.)

Bush even made a special point to meet with the Congressional Black Caucus upon taking office, which -- given their feelings toward Bush -- would be the equivalent of Obama holding a special meet-and-greet session with the upper management of the Ku Klux Klan.

Bush invited the Democratic black mayor of the District of Columbia to the White House, attended a majority black District church service and appointed the first black secretary of state. And that was all before Feb. 1, 2001. (By the end of his presidency, he would have appointed the first two black secretaries of state.)

Though it was small potatoes after all that palling around with Teddy Kennedy, this is the same George W. Bush who had Muslim "spiritual leaders" to the White House a week after 9/11.

Bush also famously said of then-Russian president, former KGB agent Vladimir Putin, that he looked him in the eye and "was able to get a sense of his soul."(This made Bush's critics almost as apoplectic as if he had said, "I looked into Putin's eyes and, frankly, I just don't trust the guy."
No matter what Bush did, liberals were incensed.)

As president, Bush scuttled the playing of "Hail to the Chief" in his honor and repeatedly reminded his staff to act humbly.

This is as opposed to Obama, who I believe is the first president-elect in history to have his own "Office of the President-elect" seal commissioned.

Like I always say, even if you don't like the current president-elect, you should still have some respect for the office of the presidency-elect.

How can anybody dispute that Ann Coulter is one of the smartest women on the planet?

Here's the plaque that Obama has created to represent an office that doesn't even exist. He sure has some stones!

Just more of his typical 'arrogance of hype'.

2008 Election Results Maps

We finally have a map of how America voted in the 2008 national election.

It looks as if a majority of America is still Republican or at least was in favor of McCain doesn't it?
Obama got 66,602,400 votes or 52.7%
McCain got 58,164,693 votes or 46.0%

Here's the electoral vote map.

Obama got 365 (projected) and carried 28 states
McCain got 162 (projected) and carried 21 states

Obama got 1,367,786 votes or 49.93%
McCain got 1,341,774 votes or 48.98%

It's hard to believe that so many American's cannot tell the difference between a charlatan and a statesman! Conservatives got whupped!

What Does Veterans Day Mean To You?

Veterans Day for me was always a day of remembrance.
A day to look back on the 'Great War', as WW I was called.
A day of reflection.

Some people say 'happy Veterans Day', but I don't think it was meant to be a happy occasion. I've always treated it in a more somber temperament by simply flying 'Old Glory'.

My granddad served in the Great War, so it always had a special meaning for me. He seldom talked about his experiences, but he always made sure I had a poppy to wear on my shirt as a young lad. Funny thing, I haven't seen a poppy on November 11 in quite a while?

Did you know the holiday was first created to commemorate the armistice? That's right... WW I didn't have a winner or a loser per se, it was an armistice that stopped the fighting. Of course the Germans were blamed for everything and severely punished for the war.

President Wilson proclaimed Armistice Day for November 12, 1919. Then in 1926 Congress passed a resolution asking The President to honor Armistice Day on November 11. Then in May of 1938, November 11th was made an 'official holiday'. "A day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated and known as 'Armistice Day'."

Then, what had been Armistice Day honoring WW I dead was changed to Veterans Day in 1954 by President Dwight Eisenhower to expand the honor to all U.S. veterans.

The Great War was known as 'the war to end all wars'. Sadly, it hasn't been so. It ended with an armistice in 1918 that began at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

But many country's still celebrate it with a moment of silence at 11:00 AM on November 11. In Canada and Australia, it's called Remembrance Day. In Great Britain it's meaning is honored closer to our Memorial Day.

So, if you didn't remember to honor Veterans Day with a moment of silence this year, that's OK. Just try to do it next year. Oh, and it's always been customary to put out the flag, so if you don't have a flag, try to get one.

God Bless America!

Happy Birthday Marines!

November 10, 1775.
On that day the Marines were founded as Continental Marines, a Naval infantry. But today, the United States Marine Corps serves as our amphibious force-in-readiness.

In other words... Marines are Bad Asses On Call - 24-7!

At The President's pleasure, they will 'open up a can'!

From an article by Ted Nugent...
From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, all across America and in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever America is being defended, the world’s most exclusive gun club is the celebrating its 233 birthday today.

Born in a roughneck Philadelphia bar in 1775 on a dare to surpass standard warrior excellence, the United States Marines Corps has distinguished itself over its history as the finest military force the world has ever seen.

Do not point the US Marines Corps at anything you do not wish conquer. They are the pointy end of America’s spear.
The Devil Dogs are always the first to the fight.

Looking at their battle flags fluttering in the breeze reminds of their bravery and warrior ethos. Battle streamers honoring their bravery in battles such as Belleau Wood, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Peleliu, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and Chosin Reservoir remind us of just a few of the famous battles they have fought and won.

When we get older, it’s natural to think about whether we’ve actually done something worthwhile. This is not the case for the leatherneck men and women of the mighty US Marine Corps.

President Reagan said it best: “Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem.”

I suspect if the Marines know one thing, it is that freedom is not free. There is a toll to be exacted and it is their blood, sweat, sacrifice and lives.

As I type these vary words, there are leathernecks pushing ahead and killing Al Qaeda and Taliban voodoo monsters.

These leathernecks come from a long lineage of warriors who don’t know the meaning of quit.
My hero, Colonel Lewis “Chesty” Puller summed it best when he said during the Korean War, “We're surrounded? Good, now we can kill the bastards in any direction."

Clearly, there is no finer friend, no worse enemy than the Marines.
This was exemplified by Marine General James Mattis when he told Iraqi leaders, "I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes:
If you "mess" with me, I'll kill you all."
My kind of man.

The US Marines are warriors. They are the few and the proud. Americans are the many and the blessed. So long as the Marines are with us the flame of freedom and liberty will burn brightly.

May God bless the United States Marines Corps. Happy 233rd birthday, Devil Dogs. Semper Fi. Godspeed my Blood Brothers. Carry on.

Ted, I couldn't have said it any better.
Thank you for the article and the reminder.

I'll end with my all time favorite Marine ad...

Semper Fi!

What Happened To Your Agenda Mr. Obama?

Last week, Rush Limbaugh pointed to a blog, http://sweetness-light.com/ for information about Obama's planned agenda. S&L pointed out that Obama's website had these plans for his citizen army, The War in Iraq, economic issues and much more...

Well, over the weekend, the web site was scrubbed of all the content!

From The Washington Times...
Over the weekend President-elect Barack Obama scrubbed Change.gov, his transition Web site, deleting most of what had been a massive agenda copied directly from his campaign Web site.

Gone are the promises on how an Obama administration would handle 25 different agenda items - everything from Iraq and immigration to taxes and urban policy - all items laid out on his campaign Web site, www dot Barack Obama dot com

Instead, the official agenda on Change.gov has been boiled down to one vague paragraph proclaiming a plan “to revive the economy, to fix our health care, education, and social security systems, to define a clear path to energy independence, to end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan, and to work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, among many other domestic and foreign policy objectives.”

“We are currently retooling the Web site,” said Obama spokesman Nick Shapiro.

The site went active on Wednesday and was available to the public Thursday.
The agenda items, which were active for at least part of the weekend, appear to have been deleted by late Saturday.

I wonder why the Obama camp took the information down?
Didn't they really want us to read it?

This is just another example of what we can expect from Obama. He's a Chicago politician after all... Talks out of both sides of his mouth... Will do anything, say anything to get what he wants.

Smoke and mirrors. Now you see it... Now you don't!

This is what you elected America!
Fasten your seat belts!

Taxpayers Become Crash-Test Dummies!

Here we go again!
First we bail out Wall Street with this 'emergency' 700Billion investment into poorly run companies... Now the Democrats want us to bail out The Automakers!

From The Wall Street Journal...
The auto-industry crisis is forcing a broader debate over how far the government should go to prop up ailing industries, as the Bush administration resists Democrats' request to use part of the $700 billion financial-rescue fund to aid Detroit's three struggling car makers.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, in a letter Saturday, formally requested that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson consider giving "temporary assistance to the auto industry" using money originally appropriated to shore up the banking system.

The Democratic lawmakers said federal aid should come with "strong conditions," such as requirements that car makers build more fuel-efficient vehicles, and equity stakes for the government so taxpayers could profit if the companies recover.

Senior economic advisers to President-elect Barack Obama said he broadly backs the appeal by Mrs. Pelosi and Mr. Reid on behalf of the auto industry. Mr. Obama, who on Friday called the industry "the backbone of American manufacturing," is scheduled to meet President George W. Bush at the White House Monday.

Isn't that just dandy!
I thought this whole economic problem was the fault of George Bush? He's been blamed for nearly everything else?
Now, they want him to fix it?

These Democrats have SOME nerve!

Heres what Jonathan Hoenig has to say about this deal...
From SmartMoney...
Any federal bailout of U.S. auto makers is theft; there's no other way to describe it.

For the benefit of inefficient corporations, their management, union leaders and employees, the honest American taxpayer is being burglarized.

Both Republicans and Democrats are to blame.

There is no such thing as a right to a job; there is only the right to free trade. As an industry, auto makers have no more or less rights than shopkeepers, restaurant owners, marketing consultants or professional clowns.

When the tech bubble burst and thousands of individuals were laid off from companies ranging from Pets.com to Psudo.com, there was no federal bailout. The majority of those workers, just as vital as auto makers, all found other jobs.

The real (free) market is shunning these companies. General Motors' (GM) 8.375% bond due in July 2033 is yielding 34%, while the stock trades at 1950s levels. Ford Motor's (F) 7.45% note due in July 2031 yields 22%, and the stock trades at where it did in the early 1980s. These are now tiny companies. GM's market capitalization is less than 2% that of Toyota's (TM). Ford's is about 5% of Honda's (HMC).

Nancy Pelosi , Harry Reid and, yes, Henry Paulson (the banker formerly of Goldman Sachs (GS)) are looking to invest your money in these train wrecks as many before them already have -- with disastrous results. Billionaire Kirk Kerkorian started buying Ford stock when it was at $7.70 a share in April only to dump it months later for a roughly 70% loss.

So you see, anybody that believes in a free market society is out of fashion right now. The Dems want to bailout everything so the government will be running the entire show!
That's not democracy!
That's not free enterprise at work!
That's not Capitalism!

Pure and simple, THAT'S SOCIALISM!

Brainwashing Like You've Never Seen!

This teacher, Diatha D. Harris, is caught on tape discussing the upcoming Presidential election with her class. She is either completely unaware that her lesson is a kind of brainwashing, or she is a liar. Either way, the children were exposed to the most vile, the most insidious kind of learning.

Teacher's comments about McCain, war stir anger
By Francis X. Gilpin
Staff writer

A Cumberland County school teacher is defending her comments to a fifth-grade pupil who expressed support for John McCain in her class last spring.

The exchange at Mary McArthur Elementary School was captured by a Swedish television documentary crew, and the video is making the rounds on the Internet including YouTube.

In the video, which reportedly aired in Scandinavia earlier this week, teacher Diatha D. Harris calls the Iraq War “senseless” and tells one student whose father is a soldier that McCain would keep troops there for 100 years.

The classroom discussion begins with Harris asking the class who they support for president. When two students say McCain, she responds with “Oh Lord” and “Oh Jesus.”

She asks them why they are you pulling for McCain or Obama. One student says she supports Obama because “he is making good changes” like “not having a fight between Iraq, and having soldiers killed.”

“So in other words,” Harris says, “Barack is going to end that war in Iraq.”

One girls says she supports McCain. When asked why, she tells her teacher “I think it’s because of my parents are going for him, too.’’

Harris points out that the girl’s father is in the military, then says to the class that Iraq is a “senseless war.”

“And by the way,” Harris tells the girl, “the person that you’re picking for president said that our troops could stay in Iraq for another hundred years if they need to. So that means that your daddy could stay in the military for another hundred years.”

The girl appears to be embarrassed and doesn’t respond.

Harris said three children in the class had parents in the military.

In an interview late Thursday, Harris, 53, said somebody edited the video to make it appear she was an Obama partisan imposing her views on a child.
In fact, Harris said, she made gestures after pupils voiced support for Obama.

“It has been doctored,” Harris said. “They didn’t show anything about Obama.”

In another sequence on the video, however, Harris sports an Obama button during a pep rally at the school.

Wanda McPhaul, a spokeswoman for Cumberland schools, said county officials were shocked when they were alerted to the video.

But McPhaul said Superintendent Bill Harrison, who will post his own videotaped statement on the matter on YouTube later today, is prohibited by state law from revealing what might happen to Harris.

Earlier this week, reports about the video on the Internet said Harris was a teacher in Asheville. She used to be a teacher in western North Carolina, but moved to Fayetteville within the past couple years.

Here's a link also...

It's fairly easy to see that the teacher doesn't have a handle on what teaching is really about. Her lack of fair mindedness along with her intentional discrimination and senseless intimidation of some of the students is appalling.

Even when interviewed afterwards, she doesn't acknowledge that she a complete disrespect to McCain and The War in Iraq.

This woman need to have her teaching credentials revoked and never be allowed to teach ANYWHERE ever again!

Here's some of the fallout over this so-called 'teacher' and her methods!

McCain Must Go!

I was always worried when John McCain became the Republican nominee for President.

He was not a conservative and he had much, too much liberal baggage tied to him.

But, I held my nose and voted for him anyway.
Anybody... except Obama!

You do remember that he almost bolted the party in 2000 for the Democrats, and he constantly crossed the aisle to work closely with the opposition? Maybe he should have stayed over there!

McCain voted against the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts. He co-sponsored bills to close the gun-show loophole, expand AmeriCorps, and federalize airport security. All these things set him against nearly the entire Republican Party.

Republicans who fought the legislative battles of those days now regard the prospect that McCain could become their party's standard-bearer with incredulity. These figures are stumbling around in rage and disbelief, like Jimmy Stewart in "It's A Wonderful Life" discovering that his beloved hometown has been taken over by Henry Potter.

Former Senate Republican Conference chairman Rick Santorum bitterly noted that "almost at every turn, on domestic policy, John McCain was not only against us, but leading the charge on the other side."

Former House speaker Dennis Hastert - in what, by his somnolent Midwestern standards, counts as an angry tirade - complained that McCain usually "allied with Democrats."

Yes, he was our standard bearer... and look what it got us. DEFEAT!

We were defeated by a novice!
An inexperienced, untrustworthy, secretive, socialist community organizer!

McCain has disgraced conservatives.
McCain should be kicked out of the Republican Party!
If he's not... I'll be joining another organization!

I'll look for an organization that respects our constitution and doesn't tolerate the weaseling that has occured during this election.

Republicans seem to have lost their way. Getting back to conservative ideals is, in my mind, the most important goal for patriotic Americans.

The left believes we have a 'fundamentally flawed' document supporting our representative rebublic. I am extremely offended by such a belief and will work tirelessly to defeat ANYONE who supports such an ideal.

If McCain wants to be a democrat, that's fine by me. Just GO!
And good riddance!

The Treatment of Bush Has Been a Disgrace

What must our enemies be thinking?

Earlier this year, 12,000 people in San Francisco signed a petition in support of a proposition on a local ballot to rename an Oceanside sewage plant after George W. Bush.

The proposition is only one example of the classless disrespect many Americans have shown the president.

According to recent Gallup polls, the president's average approval rating is below 30% -- down from his 90% approval in the wake of 9/11.

Mr. Bush has endured relentless attacks from the left while facing abandonment from the right.

This is the price Mr. Bush is paying for trying to work with both Democrats and Republicans.

During his 2004 victory speech, the president reached out to voters who supported his opponent, John Kerry, and said, "Today, I want to speak to every person who voted for my opponent. To make this nation stronger and better, I will need your support, and I will work to earn it. I will do all I can do to deserve your trust."

Those bipartisan efforts have been met with crushing resistance from both political parties.

The president's original Supreme Court choice of Harriet Miers alarmed Republicans, while his final nomination of Samuel Alito angered Democrats.

His solutions to reform the immigration system alienated traditional conservatives, while his refusal to retreat in Iraq has enraged liberals who have unrealistic expectations about the challenges we face there.

It seems that no matter what Mr. Bush does, he is blamed for everything. He remains despised by the left while continuously disappointing the right.

Yet it should seem obvious that many of our country's current problems either existed long before Mr. Bush ever came to office, or are beyond his control.

Perhaps if Americans stopped being so divisive, and congressional leaders came together to work with the president on some of these problems, he would actually have had a fighting chance of solving them.

Like the president said in his 2004 victory speech, "We have one country, one Constitution and one future that binds us. And when we come together and work together, there is no limit to the greatness of America."

To be sure, Mr. Bush is not completely alone. His low approval ratings put him in the good company of former Democratic President Harry S. Truman, whose own approval rating sank to 22% shortly before he left office.

Despite Mr. Truman's low numbers, a 2005 Wall Street Journal poll found that he was ranked the seventh most popular president in history.

Just as Americans have gained perspective on how challenging Truman's presidency was in the wake of World War II, our country will recognize the hardship President Bush faced these past eight years -- and how extraordinary it was that he accomplished what he did in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

The treatment President Bush has received from this country is nothing less than a disgrace.

The attacks launched against him have been cruel and slanderous, proving to the world what little character and resolve we have.

The president is not to blame for all these problems.
He never lost faith in America or her people, and has tried his hardest to continue leading our nation during a very difficult time.

Our failure to stand by the one person who continued to stand by us has not gone unnoticed by our enemies. It has shown to the world how disloyal we can be when our president needed loyalty -- a shameful display of arrogance and weakness that will haunt this nation long after Mr. Bush has left the White House.

Mr. Shapiro is an investigative reporter and lawyer who previously interned with John F. Kerry's legal team during the presidential election in 2004.

Thank you Mr Shaprio!
God Bless George Bush!

God Bless America!
